Woodlands Soccer Club to Hold Tryouts for Mens Professional Teams
THE WOODLANDS, TX (January 16, 2012) Woodlands soccer club Texas Dutch Lions FC is holding tryouts for professional players for their men’s Premier Development League (PDL) teams. The club will promote two men’s teams, PDL and Super 20 (players born after 1/1/1992). Tryouts will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at 9:00 a.m. at Buddy Moorehead Stadium in Conroe, Texas.
A showcase will be held to scout 15-20 professional players for the PDL men’s team and 20-25 players for the Super 20 team. International players are welcome to tryout with valid documentation. The showcase will begin with a presentation from Texas Dutch Lions FC highlighting player expectations upon selection. Following the presentation, the first training session will be conducted by Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) certified coaches, followed by lunch and a game.

In addition to their professional teams, the Texas Dutch Lions FC is also hosting a youth soccer program, educating and training players ages five to eighteen from The Woodlands and Conroe for professional soccer careers. The Dutch-American youth soccer school is based on the renowned Dutch development philosophy and emphasizes the technical and tactical fundamentals taught only by licensed coaches, professionals, and former players.
Live registration for youth players will take place at the Conroe Walmart every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. until February 4th and at Carl Barton Park Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
