Four New Reasons to Attend Chambers Taste of the Town This Year

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (January 13, 2012) Woodlands advertising and public relations agency, Hallaron Media, LLC is pleased to announce four newcomers highlighted at this year’s Taste of the Town taking place on February 2nd at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott & Convention Center from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen
After celebrating their first year on Market Street, Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen is now a favorite among locals and New Orleans natives. Owned and operated by the Schilleci family, this New Orleans fine dining restaurant specializes in Creole and Cajun regional cooking with authentic family recipes handed down over generations. Schilleci’s features weekly happy hour specials, outdoor dining, and weekly off the menu lunch and dinner specials especially prepared by Chef David Brittain.
“Our family is thrilled to be a part of this year’s Taste of the Town and we can’t wait to meet with current and new customers,” said owner Wayne Schilleci. Schilleci’s will be serving Seafood Gumbo, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, and their famous Bread Pudding from two booths at Taste of the Town.
Mi Cocina
Mi Cocina has been a welcomed addition to The Woodlands and The Woodlands Mall since they opened their doors this past November. The new Tex-Mex restaurant, located next to Brio (formerly Rockfish), is known for signature dishes such as Sunset Fajitas, Carne Asada, Brisket Tacos, Rico Salad, and their legendary cocktail, the Mambo Taxi.
As a sponsor of this year’s Taste of the Town, Mi Cocina looks forward to being an integral part of the community. Mi Cocina is part of the M Crowd Restaurant Group, which operates over 25 restaurants under three names – Mi Cocina, Taco Diner, and The Mercury.
Luca & Leonardo Ristorante
Romantic dining destination, Luca & Leonardo Ristorante specializes in Italian cuisine prepared from authentic and traditional Italian recipes under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Daniel Miranda. Situated on the Waterway, Luca & Leonardo boasts intimate views of the Waterway and the fountains, and features a wine list with labels from around the globe, including a fixed price Italian wine list. From the cuisine, wine, art, and music, Luca & Leonardo embodies the Italian culture.
Luca and Leonardo is operated by AM Restaurants, Inc. With 17 successful restaurants in Mexico City, Cuernavaca, and other Mexican metros, AM Restaurants is proud to serve as a sponsor of The Chamber’s 26th Annual Taste of the Town.
La Lupita Mexican Cuisine & Bar
Also a part of AM Restaurants, Inc., La Lupita Mexican Cuisine & Bar is one of the first two concepts that have been tailored for the U.S. market. Slated to open on the Waterway earlier this year, La Lupita will bring authentic Mexican cuisine to The Woodlands with their epicurean specialties, custom prepared tableside salsa & guacamole, and an array of certified tequilas.
Executive Chef Daniel Miranda is excited to introduce The Woodlands to his country’s culinary treasures, which are diverse in the types of regional dishes and ingredients. Previously Chef Miranda was named the 2010 title winner of “Prime Gourmet: El Reto,” Mexico’s equivalent to “Iron Chef America.” La Lupita’s presence at Taste of the Town will be a treat as the excitement builds for their opening on the Waterway in 2012.
